And we want to spread that love to the grades below us as well. Starting this year, we are no longer a Math Tournament! We've come to realize that not everyone enjoys only competition math, so we've shifted our focus to making math more enjoyable for everyone in the form of an Expo. Rather than making kids sit for an hour taking individual tests, we've decided to make the event more immersive, collaborative, and most of all, fun! Read about the new format for the event here.

Students intently exploring various puzzles at WWPME's "Secret Codes" mini-event.
We strive to make WWPME a fun and inspiring experience for every one of our participants. Because of this, our mini-events are geared towards exposing students to the fun side of math. Our mini-events include exciting activities in cyptography (Secret Codes), estimation (Estimathon), and so much more. You can find more information about our mini-events here.
See our Expo Information page for full details on the expo, format, prizes, and procedures.
The expo takes place at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South, and this year (2019) the date of the event is October 26, 2019!
The problem solving section of the expo takes about 1 hour in total. Each minievent afterwards will last 30 minutes.
The entire event lasts a bit longer: students in grades 3-5 should arrive at 8:45 AM and will leave by 1:00 PM; students in grades 6-8 should arrive at 2:00 PM and will leave by 6:15 PM. We cannot accept significantly late participants.
Do bring a pencil and an eraser or a pen, your registration ID (which you will receive by e-mail once you register for the expo online), and your registration fee (if you haven't already paid online).
Do bring acceptable ID. Acceptable ID is either your school-issued student ID card or any other official photo ID verifying your name and age (either on a phone or printed out).
Don't bring a calculator, any rulers or protractors or compasses or drawing implements, or any common-sense things you wouldn't normally bring into a school.
Photos will be posted on this website within a week after the exposition ends! By signing up for WWPME, you are giving permission for photos of you to be displayed on our site. If you would like to have a photo that contains you removed from the website email [email protected] and cc [email protected] (with the details of what image) for your picture to be removed.
The exposition is available to students from any school district (including homeschooled) who are between 3rd through 8th grade. There are no prerequisites other than an open mind! Registration is currently closed! Check back later to register for WWPME 2020!
Parents will not be permitted to stay inside the school during the expo. Parents traveling from far may choose to spend time at the following places in the area:
This year we will be providing a small snack to each participant. Participants are required to be aware of their own allergies. Lunch will not be provided, and all participants are expected to eat sometime before or after the event.
